Daily Post
A MAN whose home was an "Aladdin's cave" of stolen laptop computers and overhead projectors was jailed yesterday for two and a half years.
Liverpool Crown Court heard that police raided Stuart Edgar's home on December 2 armed with a search warrant and found the stolen items in every room, as well as five stun guns.
Officers recovered a total of 108 laptop computers and 37 overhead projectors and other items, said Gordon Cole, prosecuting.
He said: "It amounted to an Aladdin's Cave of laptops and projectors stored throughout the property," he said.
Some of it had come from eight Merseyside schools, including Childwall Church of England school and another Childwall school which had suffered repeated break-ins involving the loss of £12,000 worth of projectors.
Laptops had been stolen from cars and in burglaries at premises all over the country, said Mr Cole.
Edgar had been using e-bay UK on the internet to sell stolen items using the name "The Edge Man"
