BETHLEHEM -- A fifth-grader at Bethlehem Area School District's Regional Academic Standards Academy is charged with the theft of two school laptop computers back in June.

This is the second computer theft investigated in the district this month. On Aug. 4, two teenage boys were charged with stealing four laptops from East Hills Middle School in May.

Sasha Vargas, of the 1400 block of Lebanon Street, is charged after admitting to taking the two laptops, worth $2,000, from the school library, police said."
