Burglars broke into a Lehigh Acres home and stole a gun safe containing five rifles and jewelry and a home computer and other items worth more than $4,500.

The crime happened between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday at 743 Kalamar Drive.
The suspects cut a hole in the lanai screen and broke through the rear slider door, even parking their vehicle in the garage during the heist, sheriff's reports show."
