Police charged four people, including a mother and her two sons, in connection with the theft of computer and other electronics from McNary High School, an official said Friday.
The theft of $8,676 worth of equipment occurred between April 28 and May 2, Keizer Detective Sgt. John Troncoso said.
Investigators traced some of the stolen goods to two juveniles who had been arrested for burglarizing Gubser Elementary School in December, Troncoso said.
During the investigation, officers found a projector stolen from McNary at a Corvallis home. The resident, Matthew Boisselle, 21, was arrested Friday and booked on a charge of first-degree theft by receiving.
His 16-year-old brother was arrested Wednesday on theft and conspiracy to commit theft charges, Troncoso said. Their mother, Judith Ann Boisselle, 49, of Keizer was arrested Friday for hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence.
Another 16-year-old was arrested for theft and conspiracy to commit theft, Troncoso said. That boy was involved in the burglary at Gubser in December, Troncoso said.
The Statesman Journal is not publishing the identities of the juveniles because their charges would not require them to be treated as adults in court.
Some stolen goods, including five projectors, have not been recovered. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Tim Lathrop at (503) 390-3713, Ext. 3481.
