Three juveniles are charged with breaking into Slaughters Elementary following school officials’ report of the alleged incident on Sunday, Jan. 15, to the Webster County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities said the three are each charged with third-degree burglary, first degree criminal mischief, and theft by unlawful taking of over $300, all class D felonies.
Among the items reported stolen were two laptop computers, a VCR, a refrigerator, a printer, a computer-scanner, 15 blank audio tapes, a pack of CD-ROMs, and a large scooter board.
Several other items were damaged in the room, authorities said, including a printer, a bookshelf, a microwave oven, a flat screen monitor, a CD player/radio, and several chairs.
Most of the items reported stolen were recovered the same day, after Webster County Deputy Donald Jones and Sebree Police Chief Randy Durbin were called to a residence on Ky. Hwy. 1405.
The juveniles weren’t identified in a police report regarding the matter
