UK COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM SCHOOL News Wales > Education > Pupils plead for return of stolen Coco the cockatiel
25/1/2006
Heartbroken pupils of Ysgol Llandrillo are hoping that thieves who broke into their school last night will return Coco the Cockatiel unharmed.
As well as two PC's, a laptop computer, a musical keyboard, two digital cameras and £25 cash, Coco, complete with cage, was amongst the thieves' haul.
Head teacher, Gwenda Owen, said: " The children are very upset about Coco. This is a small school, everyone knows one another and Coco was very much part of school life. He lived in the infant class and used to come out of his cage and sit on the table alongside pupils as they did their lessons. He's quite noisy and had been joining in with pupils as they rehearsed for the Eisteddfod. He's going to be greatly missed and we hope very much that whoever took him will return him safe and sound.
'The school, which has 43 pupils aged between three and 11, was broken into sometime between about 9.30 pm on Tuesday and 6 am Wednesday.
Anyone with information should contact North Wales Police.
