A Lakeland College student reported that a laptop computer was taken from his dorm room on Sunday, the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department said today.

The theft of IBM laptop, valued at about $2,000, was reported about 4:30 p.m., Sunday by Daisuke Watanabe, its owner, said Capt. Dave Adams.

Watanabe told sheriff''s deputies he believed the theft of the computer occurred within a half-hour before he reported it was stolen. "
