ALABAMA SIX COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM SCHOOL http://www.nbc13.com/news/10311775/detail.html
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Birmingham city school leaders are looking at surveillance videos to find clues about a weekend robbery at one school.
School leaders said someone stole six computers and a few Palm Pilots from South Hampton elementary, sometime between late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
Authorities said the robbers simply opened a window and went inside; there was no broken glass or overturned desks.
Administrators said South Hampton is one of the city’s brightest stars, and that’s why the school has such high quality tech equipment.
“We’ve got programs in place to help students advance their tech skills, so to see something like this happen, it’s not going to hold the school back. They’re going to continue to move forward and we’ll make sure that they can,” said Regina Waller of the Birmingham city schools.
South Hampton elementary school leaders spoke with students Monday about the robbery, assuring them they would keep technology programs in place.
