A WODONGA youth, 17, has been charged with burglary, theft and theft from a motor vehicle related to the theft of six computers from Barnawartha Primary School on Tuesday night.
Detective Acting Sgt Andrew Leonard, of Wodonga police, said detectives had interviewed two people yesterday related to the incident and had subsequently charged one of them.
Sgt Leonard said two of the computers allegedly stolen from the school had been recovered and police were seeking further assistance from people in the Border region who may have been offered a black Dell stand-alone computer with a flat screen.
He said anyone who might have one of the computers they had been offered in recent days should also contact police to arrange for its return on (02) 6049 2600.
The youth will appear in a Victorian Children’s Court on January 9.
