INDIA UPDATE AND PHOTOS ON STOLEN COMPUTER THEFT RING BEING BROKEN SahilOnline English Daily - Reflection of the TRUTH -


Bhatkal police have done tremendous job by recovering stolen goods of worth 7 lakhs within a span of 7 days. Police have also arrested 3 beggars who stole the goods from different parts of Bhatkal Taluk.

Elaborating on the details Assistant SP Mr. Vikas Kumar said that 15 computers had been stolen from Belke Government School on 26 December 2006 which comes under Bhatkal Rural Police Station limit. Police began their investigation from the school. They found tyre marks in that place by which it was deduced that the computers were stolen in a small four wheeler as Maruti car or omni etc. Police also found finger prints.

They took the police dog who while sniffing led them to a nearby Dhaba was near Sarpankatta cross, Bhatkal. The police enquired about the vehicle. They found a Maruti van abandoned with the number plate KA21 N 979. During further investigations they found that the same number plate vehicle was also found in Bantawal (near Mangalore).

A team of Bhatkal police was sent to Bantawal to trace the Maruti Van. Police seized the Maruti with owner identified as Jalaluddin Abdul Kareem (42). After interrogation two more names were revealed; Hussain Shabbir Ismail Qazi (24) resident of Makhdoom colony Bhatkal and Abdul Mutallib Muhiddin Saab (24) resident of Bantawal.

All the 3 beggars stole the computer from the school; they hid the 12 computer set in Kola Garden using grass and mesh. Police have seized all the computers. The remaining computers were kept in a private school, Bantawal in which one computer was sold to a school teacher at cost Rs. 10,000/-.

When police went to Bantawal to seize the three computers then they also recovered a Maruti Van and a Bajaj Bike which was stolen from Bhatkal few days before and a complaint was lodged in Bhatkal town police and Bhatkal rural police respectively. Earlier Gas cylinder, Oxygen Cylinder and other utensils were alsostolen from 6 different schools and the complaint was lodged in both Bhatkal town and rural police stations and police have recovered all the stolen goods from them.

The Assistant Superintendent of Police Mr. Vikas Kumar said that totally 8 stolen cases have been registered in Bhatkal police stations in which 6 cases was of school goods, one stolen of Bajaj bike and one was Maruti Omni. Today police successfully traced all the stolen goods and also arrested 3 culprits.

District SP Mr S Ravi guided them properly and as per his direction they were all successful ASP Vikas Kumar added. The team included CPI K Ramarao, PSI Basavraj Tehli, MB Mukashi, KG Satish, Head constable Shankar S Naik, Police constable Ramesh S Naik, Suraj P Kotekar, Devanand G Nayak, R D Mule, Suresh Kalli, Basavraj.

This effort of the police in nabbing the culprits as well as recovering the goods that too at the beginning of the new year has brought hope among the people that maybe the robbers will now have to take rest or cool their heels behind the bars. The local people have congratulated the police team and encouraged them for better work in future.
