$15,000 worth of items recovered
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes-Barre Police Department has recovered in excess of $15,000 of what is believed to be stolen items from a South Franklin Street residence.
Among the items recovered are computers, digital cameras, iPods, wallets and purses. The items were found in the residence of Anthony Boyle, who police believe was involved in numerous thefts in Wilkes-Barre and Hanover.
“It is unusual that this guy kept the stolen goods,” Detective Ron Foy said. “When the batteries in the laptop computers ran out he just threw the computers in the basement.”
Police are asking victims of robberies in the area to contact the department."
