Two face dozens of charges for rash of break-ins

DURHAM -- Two men arrested in connection with a rash of commercial break-ins across Durham Region are facing dozens of charges.
Durham police laid charges against the two men, one of whom lives in Pickering, following an investigation that looked into break-ins at restaurants, convenience stores and retail outlets. The heists occurred between September of 2006 and the beginning of February this year and saw a large quantity of cash, cigarettes, televisions and computers stolen, police said.
In all 129 charges have been laid against Shawn Isaac Daigle, 29, of no fixed address, and 18-year-old Myles Parker Daigle of Echo Point Court in Pickering. Charges against the two men include more than 120 charges of break enter and theft, as well as break and enter with intent and wearing a disguise.
