COLORADO COMPUTERS STOLEN AT UNIVERSITY Sordid tales of campus crime - Busted:

The rules apply to everyone

On March 1, a theft was reported in Room 307B of the Plaza building. A Metro student
had her laptop computer stolen. It was a Dell Inspiron 1501, with a silver plastic case and a 'case logic' black fabric sleeve. It was stolen when she left it unattended in a computer lab in the Plaza building. The estimated loss was $915. The majority of campus thefts occur when we leave our possessions unattended. We should really put up signs… everywhere.

Should've stolen the grade book

On Feb. 28, sometime around 2:00 p.m., a theft took place in Plaza Room 220AA.
A Metro faculty member reported that her Dell laptop, model D800 with a silver and black plastic case was stolen along with her Palm Pilot "Zire" model in a blue plastic case. The total estimated loss is around $1,850. The computer was on a docking station on her desk in her office the last time she saw it. The police believe the door was propped open during the time this theft took place. The crime lab was called, but it is unclear what information they were able to obtain from the site. I'm guessing CSI: Auraria Campus might need some more selling.
