Greeneville men arrested for computer equipment thefts
Two Greeneville men were arrested Tuesday by Johnson City police.
Police said Sammy Shelton, 26, and Christopher L. Tipton, 24, were arrested on charges of theft over $500.
The arrests came after detectives conducted an on-going investigation into theft reports of computer equipment from Johnson City Wal-Marts. Shelton was charged with three counts of theft over $500 and Tipton was charged with one count of theft over $500.
Both men are currently housed at the Washington County Detention Center. They are scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on March 7.
