IOWA COMPUTERS STOLEN FROM MEDIA CENTER DesMoinesRegister.com:
12 computers taken from Valley media center
Valley High School lost a dozen computers and five portable memory devices called flash drives last week in a late-night break-in at its media center.
The burglars stole the laptop computers, each valued at $1,150, and the flash drives, valued at $25 apiece, sometime May 8 or 9, West Des Moines police reported.
The burglars apparently forced a door open, pried a chain and padlock off a storage cabinet with the computers and broke a window, police said.
Police said they later heard reports of 'suspicious activity' between 3:08 and 3:22 a.m. on May 9.
Anyone connected to the break-in could face third-degree burglary charges. Police have not made any arrests."
