Computers Stolen, Lawn Wrecked at Boys And Girls Club
Staff at the Huntsville Boys and Girls Club on Holmes Avenue spent their Monday afternoon cleaning up.
Over the weekend, vandals broke into a teen center that was under renovation and stole more than $8,000 worth of computers. They also tore apart landscaping in the front yard. Cederick Williams is the C-E-O of the Huntsville/Madison County Boys and Girls Club. He was appalled when the arrived for work Monday morning. "I mean it's just atrocious what happened." Williams told WAAY 31's Justin McFarland. "Especially when people are trying to help us. Somebody just comes and tears up the flowers and vandalizes it. This is for the kids. We want it to look nice for the children."
Anyone with any information as to who might have done this is asked to call Huntsville Police at 722-7100. If you would like to make a donation to help cover the cost of thestolen computers you can contact the Huntsville/Madison County Boys and Girls Club at 256-534-6060 or www.bgchsv.com/
