Two people arrested in school theft case
Detectives arrested two suspects Friday in connection with computer equipment stolen from an Oxnard elementary school, according to police.
Officers were called to Rio Lindo Elementary School Friday morning and found that several classrooms had been burglarized the night before.
Oxnard police said that school officials determined that a laptop computer and some related equipment had been stolen.
Detectives executed a search warrant at the residence of a suspect, Michael McCree, 23, and recovered the stolen items, police said.
McCree, and a male juvenile he was with, were arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Detectives said they are also investigating several other burglaries at Rio Lindo Elementary School in the past few weeks.
