CALIFORNIA COMPUTERS STOLEN DailyBulletin.com - 7:14 a.m.: Pair arrested after Rancho Cucamonga break-in
RANCHO CUCAMONGA - Thieves in a truck smashed the vehicle through the glass window of a business this morning and stole about $30,000 in computer equipment, sheriff's deputies said.
Deputies caught up to the suspected burglars when they entered the 10 Freeway.
"They had a bunch of broken glass and computer equipment in the back of the truck," said San Bernardino County sheriff's Sgt. Greg Kreps.
Deputies arrested two men, one who is a parolee.
The pair backed the truck into Eagle Labs, a company which manufactures surgical instruments, near the corner of Trademark Parkway and Haven Avenue about 3 a.m.
A security guard at a business north of Eagle Labs heard the crash and headed over to the business. She saw the men loading computers into the back of the truck and called the police, Kreps said.
Deputies were able to track down the truck based on a description given by the guard.
