PENNSYLVANIA COMPUTER STOLEN FROM CHURCH The Sentinel Online : News
An unknown amount of money was taken from the Christmas charity donations from Hope Reform Presbyterian Church on the 100 block of Walnut Bottom Road in Shippensburg between 8:45 p.m. Sunday and 10:43 a.m. Monday, according to state police at Carlisle.
A window on the northeast side of the church was broken to gain access into the church, and envelopes in the lobby area where donors left checks and cash for the charity were opened, police say. All of the cash was taken, but the checks were left untouched, according to police.
About $36 was also removed from a cash box in the secretary’s office, where all of the cabinets and drawers had been opened, and a Compaq laptop computer was removed from the pastor’s office, police say.
Police ask that anyone with information contact them at 249-2121.
