Theft // A laptop computer valued at $2,000 was stolen over the weekend from a real estate office in the 800 block of N. Calvert St. The theft was reported Tuesday.
Theft // After an employee of Mayfair Development in the 300 block of N. Charles St. returned to her desk from getting coffee about 11 a.m. Tuesday, a man she had spoken to moments earlier about an office for rent was gone and so was a laptop computer. The computer was valued at $2,100.

Theft // Cash, a backpack, a laptop computer and books -- all valued at $1,400 -- were stolen Wednesday from a 1996 Hyundai Elantra parked in the 100 block of S. President St.
Burglary // Jewelry, a desktop computer, DVDs, perfume and silverware -- all valued at $20,000 -- were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 6500 block of Riverview Ave. by someone who entered through a rear basement door.
