Goods worth Rs 4 lakh stolen from electronics showroom

Ludhiana, November 29 In a break-in that took place last night in an electronics showroom, Secant Technology, near Aarti Cinema Chowk, burglars reportedly decamped with laptop computers, printers and other goods worth Rs 4 lakh.

The theft came to light this morning when Paramjit Singh Juneja, the owner of the showroom, came to open the showroom which deals in computer related material. According to Juneja, he found the showroom broken into and ransacked. He told media persons that the locks of the showroom had been broken and the shutter lifted probably with an iron rod. Juneja said that when he entered the showroom.

Juneja said he found four laptop computers, which had been put on display, were missing from the shop. He added that four printers, one scanner and many pen drives had also been stolen. He estimated the loss in the theft to about Rs 4 lakh.

The matter has been reported to the police. A police team from the Division Number 5 Police Station reached the showroom to investigate the matter. Till the filing of this report, no breakthrough has been reported in the matter.
