Raiders snatch computers and cash
COMPUTER equipment, mobile phones and cash were among hauls during house raids in the neighbouring villages of Arnesby and Shearsby over the same weekend.
Burglars ransacked a house in Arnesby after breaking in through a downstairs window.
The thieves stole cash, an iPod and a mahogany barometer to the value of £1,220 after searching every room in the house during the break-in, in Church Lane.
The incident took place between 7.30am on Saturday, November 24, and 3pm the following Monday, November 26.
Meanwhile a laptop and two mobile phones were stolen from a house in Shearsby after burglars broke in through the kitchen window.
The Dell Laptop and Sony Ericsson mobile phones, worth £1,300 in total, were taken from the house in Fenny Lane between 8pm on Friday, November 23, and 4.45pm the following Monday, November 26, while the homeowners were away.
Police have appealed for witnesses to either incident to phone PC Ann Herity on 0116 2222222, using ID number 4061 when prompted.
