Department Of Safety Hit With A Computer Theft Window Break-In

Now a report comes from the Department of Safety that computers were stolen from their offices as well as the Davidson County Election Commission.
Interesting that two government entities would get hit with window break-ins within the exact same time frame, don’t you think?
Thieves used a rock to break a large window to enter the Menzler-Nix building on the department’s campus at 1150 Foster Avenue. The building has a keycard system, but no alarm, Browning said.
The theft is under investigation. Included in the investigation will be, I am told, the possibility that the break-in could be related to the theft of computers at the Election Commission office on Second Ave.
No information is believed to have been compromised as the computers stolen were those in a repair facility and their memories are believed to have been wiped clean.
UPDATE: Comprehensive article on the two thefts by Jennifer Brooks and Colby Sledge.
