CALIFORNIA COMPUTERS STOLEN Man discovers intruder inside his house - San Jose Mercury News:


A man who lives on Eagle Avenue discovered a burglar inside his residence early Sunday when the intruder threatened him before stealing two laptop computers, police said.

The victim, 45, told police that he was awakened shortly before 5 a.m. by his dog barking.

When he went to investigate, he discovered the suspect was already inside the house, which is in the 1700 block of Eagle.

After the suspect ordered him to 'get down,' the victim ran into the kitchen.

He later discovered the two Apple laptops missing. They are worth about $4,500.

The victim described the suspect as a white man about 20 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with the hood up.

n BURGLARY — A computer and a credit card were stolen when a burglar entered a residence in the 2800 block of Barber's Point Road. There were no signs of forced entry at the residence, which was burglarized sometime between Sunday night and 11 p.m. Tuesday.
