Two cars and more than $22,000 worth of computer equipment and tools were reported stolen from the Smith Kia auto dealership on the 1800 block of Iowa Street Saturday, March 14.
Burglars forced open a door, stole the tools and computer equipment and then took the keys to a 2008 Kia Sedona mini-van and a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 pick-up truck, Bellingham Police Officer Mark Young said.
The mini-van is dark blue and valued at $30,000, while the truck is silver and valued at $8,500, Young said.
The thefts occurred either Friday night or early Saturday morning, and an employee discovered it and called police at about 9 a.m. Saturday, Young said.
Young said the burglars escaped in the cars and remain at large.
The silver truck's license plate number is A467-53T, and anyone who sees this car should call 911, Young said.
