Caroline and Gray Bailey lost more than just possessions as police believe professional burglars hit their homes last week.
They worry one of their children or their new puppy might have been in harms way when someone broke in the sidedoors of their house sometime between 9:30 and 11:30 am on May 7.
“I feel violated, they went through my drawers,“ says Caroline Bailey. The thieves stole almost all her jewelry including several family heirlooms. They also made off with 3 flatscreen TV’s, 2 computers, 2 DVD players, a Playstation and more.
Also on James Island several TV’s, laptop computers, a camera and a gun were stolen on Sol LeGare Rd. And on Piccadilly Drive a $1,500 flat screen was stolen. According to residents at these homes, the burglaries all happened in broad day light.
Police are looking for a connection. They think if it is the same robbers their pattern is to knock on people’s doors to see if someone is home, and if no one answers to break-in a side or back entrance.
Authorities warn residents on James Island to lock all their doors and windows when they leave their home and if you ahve a home alarm system to remember to"
