GULFPORT — A Gulfport man faces multiple charges on burglaries and thefts including computers stolen from a community college, police said.
An investigation of five different crimes in the past month has panned out with evidence that points to 36-year-old Robert Scott Thomas as the culprit, said Police Sgt. Chris Ryle.
A grand larceny complaint alleges Thomas stole computers from the Jefferson Davis campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on May 7. Police didn’t release details on the number of computers taken or their estimated value. Ryle said that case and the others remain under investigation.
Most recently, Thomas is accused of burglarizing a shed in the 13200 block of Dedeaux Road on June 1. That crime is the one that led to his arrest on Sunday.
Police filed the other charges on Monday. Justice Court Judge Gene Dedeaux set bonds totalling $70,000.
