Bank Security Guard Busted with Stolen Computers

Almost one week after several thousand dollars worth of computer equipment and accessories were stolen from the Education Department on Mahogany Street, today the person accused of the burglary was arraigned in the Magistrate’s Court. He is twenty one year old bank security guard Carlos Hall. Sources tell 7News that Carlos Hall at one time was employed at the Education Department but that his services had been terminated. Following the break in, his name was given to the police.

When police searched an abandoned house where Carlos Hall resided at 8207 Mahogany Street Extension, they found the stolen items along with documents belonging to Hall. When the accused appeared in court today he pleaded not guilty and was offered bail of five thousand dollars plus two sureties of two thousand five hundred dollars which he met.

Some of the stolen goods recovered by police include an HP printer, a CD/tape deck, six LCD monitors, five CPUs, six Dell keyboards, one Dell mouse, two Tech mouse and two A Open mouse. The police have since recovered a flat screen computer and monitor, a server machine, one key board, a CD player. Hall was scheduled to reappear in court on September seventh.
