FLORIDA COMPUTERS STOLEN Authorities Seize Thousand of Dollars in Stolen Goods, Arrest Man: Authorities seize thousands of dollars worth of stolen property from an area home. Lowndes County Sheriff's Deputies have been removing boxes of stolen electronics and pirated DVDs since noon from a home in the 700 block of South Lee Street. Robert Mitchell, 28, lives at the home and was arrested and charged with theft by receiving stolen property. Officials say Mitchell will most likely face federal charges for bootlegging movies. "It's all movies that have not been released on DVD yet," said Captain Wanda Edwards of the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office. "Movies that have just been released in the theater and the equipment to do so." Authorities also seized a Cadillac Escalade and Mercedes Benz, where they found bootlegged pornographic DVDs. Among the goods -- a laptop and desktop computer that deputies say belong to Valdosta Technical College. Mitchell is being arrested for theft by receiving stolen property. Deputies have seized thousands of dollars in merchandise including laptop computers and 8 boxes of pornographic DVDs. They are impounding two vehicles - a Cadillac Escalade and a Mercedes Benz. The arrest is causing high tension in the neighborhood. Neighbors are at the scene and are screaming at the Lowndes County Sheriff's Department claiming they are racially discriminating their neighborhood.
