LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WALB) - Lowndes County Sheriff's officers raided a home Wednesday afternoon and recovered a massive amount of stolen goods.

Deputies arrested 28-year-old Robert Mitchell after they searched his home at 750 South Lee Street. So far, he has been charged with Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.

Investigators say Mitchell was running an elaborate DVD pirating operation. They recovered thousands of DVD's, some with pornographic content.

Investigators also recovered stolen electronics, including two computers recently stolen from Valdosta Technical College.

"We got a search warrant, which we served today, and found inside an enormous amount of computers, cameras, pirated DVD's and Cd's," says Captain Wanda Edwards of the Lowndes County Sheriffs Office. "We're still uncovering things inside."

To vehicles were also seized from Mitchell's home: a Mercedes Benz and a Cadillac Escalade. Stolen property was recovered inside each of those cars.
