Computers stolen from Struan House

Police are investigating the theft of almost $10,000 worth of computers from the heritage-listed Struan House near Naracoorte, although nothing of historical significance is believed to have been stolen.

Equipment has also been stolen from the nearby Department of Primary Industries and Resources building.

Senior Sergeant Dave Thomas says it is hard to police Struan House because of its isolated location.

"We've had our crime scene people come up from Mount Gambier to have a look at the scene and see if there's anything there that can help us," he said.

"We are also making some inquiries, there were some similar sorts of offences in Naracoorte and also near Comaum over the weekend, now whether there's any connection I don't know but we're certainly investigating a number of avenues at the minute."
