Computers, games taken in burglaries

Burglars kicked in the back door of a home in the 100 block of South Hampton Point between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and stole three laptop computers, a Wii gaming system and games with a total value of $3,300, Athens-Clarke police said.
Thieves stole another laptop and Xbox wireless game controllers from a home in the 300 block of River Chase between 8:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. Someone apparently got in through an unlocked door and made off with the belongings, valued at more than $1,100, according to police.
