COMPUTERS STOLEN WHILE MAN SLEPT

NEWARK -- A brazen burglar broke into a home on Shamrock Lane and stole $2,100 worth of electronics while the resident slept upstairs, according to a Newark police report.
The incident was reported at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday by the victim, a 62-year-old man, from his home in the north-side neighborhood. Someone had forced entry through his front door in the hour before his call and stole two $1,000 laptop computers and a $100 cell phone, according to the report.
The incident is being investigated by the Newark police Detective Bureau, and anyone with information is asked to call (740) 670-7215.
