$6,000 in electronics, jewelry stolen from home
On Aug. 11 at about 3:50 p.m., Milpitas Police Department officers responded to a residential burglary on the 300 block of Chad Drive.
Police said a 40-year-old woman returned home that afternoon to find a 52-inch plasma television, a 32-inch LCD television, laptop computers, a diamond necklace and chargers were all stolen from the residence. Total loss was about $6,000.
Police said someone had entered the home's garage and used body force to open an interior door. No suspects are known.
