Theft, robbery, stabbing arrests

MOBILE, Ala. - Mobile police arrested a man who they say stole two industrial air conditioner coils from Hughes Supply on Dauphin Street. Police say the suspect, 37-year-old Alonzo Tate, was arrested Friday morning and charged with theft. Tate also had an outstanding traffic warrant.

Later that evening, a computer services employee helped Mobile police arrest the next suspect, who police say was in possession of a stolen laptop computer. Police say 41-year-old James Antonio Moore took the computer to Porter Computer Services on Airport Blvd. Friday evening to have the password block reset. The store employee became suspicious when the name on the computer didn't match Mr. Moore's name. The employee called police, who determined that the computer was reported stolen out of Jackson County, Mississippi in March 2009. Moore was charged with receiving stolen property.
