RHODE ISLAND COMPUTERS STOLEN http://newsblog.projo.com/2010/10/north-providence-man-sentenced.html
PROVIDENCE - Bryan Polke, 56, of North Providence has been sentenced in U.S. District Court to 12 months in prison for the theft of computer equipment from the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
U.S. Attorney Peter F. Neronha said that Polke, who was both a patient and employee of the medical center at the time of the theft in February, pleaded guilty in June to one count of theft of government property.
At the time of Polke's plea, Assistant U.S. Attorney Zechariah Chafee told the court that two Dell computers and computer accessories were reported stolen from the primary care waiting area at the medical center on Chalkstone Avenue.
Neronha's office said that surveillance video showed a man who was later identified as Polke and a second man leaving the area with large items under their clothing.
The identity of the second man remains unclear and the matter continues to be investigated by the Providence Veterans Administration and the Office of the Inspector General, officials said.
