Kenya: Gang Breaks Into Human Rights Office 21 November 2010
Nairobi — A human rights organisation's office in Eldoret was on Sunday broken into and its equipment containing alleged evidence on post-election violence stolen.
The Centre Against Torture associated with a key witness, who has been flown out by the International Criminal Court, was broken into and two computers, a photocopying machine, four chairs and electrical cables stolen.
Mr David Koros, the executive director for the organisation, has been flown out of the country by ICC as a witness.
Uasin Gishu deputy police boss Benjamin Onsongo blamed the organisation for not informing the police of the earlier attempt to break into their office.
