Laptops stolen from Music City Center site
Posted: Nov 16, 2010 5:50 PM ESTNASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police in Nashville are investigating the thefts of four laptop computers, stolen from the construction site of the new Music City Center.Detectives said the thieves broke into a construction trailer on the downtown site late last month and stole four laptops from four different offices."We think [the break in] happened in this back door, it's a construction trailer so it's probably not the most difficult building to get into," Holly McCall, spokeswoman for the Music City Center, explained. McCall said the thieves took computers from offices at opposite ends of the building and two in between."They clearly took some computers and by passed others, they bypassed the senior project manager so I don't know if there were people they were trying to inconvenience," she said.Music City Center employees have upgraded security and changed the codes on doors to prevent future thefts.Laptop locks have also been installed on every computer.Metro police said the case remains under investigation but they did not have any leads.Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
