EXETER – Lonnie Maldonado, 34, of Elder Street, Wilkes-Barre, was arraigned Wednesday in Wilkes-Barre Central Court on charges of retail theft, criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing two laptop computers from CVS Pharmacy, Wyoming Avenue, on Dec. 14.
He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $5,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled on Jan. 5 before District Judge Joseph Carmody in West Pittston.
Maldonado was apprehended by Wilkes-Barre police at Horton Street and Carey Avenue on Monday. He is also facing charges by Hanover Township police for allegedly stealing items from the CVS Pharmacy on Carey Avenue.
