- ROCK HILL --
Burglars broke into a Rock Hill church, ransacking parts of the building and stealing computers, musical equipment and other valuables, deputies say.
The church’s pastor reported the break-in at United Pentecostal Church late last week, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report.
The unknown suspect or suspects broke the glass window of a rear door of the Firetower Road church and unlocked the door sometime before 5 p.m. Friday. Once inside, the burglars damaged several areas of the church and stole various electronics and other items, the report states.
The thieves exited through a side door.
Before they left, they damaged vents of the heating system, pantry doors and a vending machine. A floor lamp was smashed.
Stolen items include: a safe, a full computer, another monitor, a video camera, a guitar, a sub-woofer and miniature refrigerator.
No total estimate of damages or stolen items is listed on the report.
