Charity SNAPs up donations

A CHARITY which had its city base smashed and vital equipment stolen in a heartless act of vandalism has been offered the chance to replace it.
Back in October, thieves broke in to the MK SNAP charity’s Walnut Tree base and stole computers and several laptops. Then whatever they couldn’t steal they smashed.
The charity provides vital services for people in and around Milton Keynes who have learning disabilities
Now the Santander Foundation has donated £1,000 to help replace some of the equipment that was either stolen or damaged.
Business development manager for MK SNAP, Debra King, said: “This is not the first time we have benefited from the generosity of the Santander Foundation, but it is perhaps the most heart warming response following the upheaval we found ourselves in after the burglary.
“We are very grateful to have the support of a major company in Milton Keynes and on behalf of everyone at MK SNAP I would like to say thank you.”
Communications manager at Santander, Anoushka Lander, said: “We hope the donation goes some way to replacing the equipment that was stolen and damaged in the raid.”
