Deputies investigating theft of computers, equipment from Riverdale High School

10:50 A.M. — The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a break-in at Riverdale High School during Christmas break.

Assistant Principal Steve Adams told investigators someone broke into the math wing at the high school and stole four computer monitors valued at $147 each, two $30 bags, a $10 flash disk drive and several computer cords valued at $400.

The suspect also broke a picture and threw several books around one of the rooms, according to a sheriff's office report.

There was no sign of forced entry, and it is not known how the suspect entered the building.

The break-in is believed to have occurred between Dec. 20 and Jan. 3.
