Two held for stealing Christmas presents

NEWFIELD - Borough police said Thursday that they have charged two people in connection with a residential break-in three days before Christmas.Michael E. Clark, 23, of Swedesboro was arrested Jan. 2 in Woodbury. He is in Gloucester County Jail on charges of burglary, theft, criminal mischief and receiving stolen property.

Holly E. Locastro, 19, of Wenonah was arrested Wednesday and charged with receiving stolen property.

The break-in occurred Dec. 22, 2010, police said Thursday. The front door of a Rena Street house was forced open and several Christmas gifts for the owner's children were taken.

Stolen items also included two Visa gift cards, three laptop computers and jewelry. The investigation pointed to Clark, and an arrest warrant was issued for him on Dec. 28, police said. Locastro is Clark's girlfriend, police said.
