Officers looking for suspects
The Pet Store and DC Computer Store at 825 W. Rusk St in Jacksonville were ransacked and burglarized Saturday night, Jan. 15.
Some animals were killed, others were stolen. A rare albino leopard gecko, guinea pigs, mice and a gray bunny rabbit were among the animals stolen.
An antique H & R “Topper” 20 gauge shotgun (single shot) in immaculate condition that was a family heirloom for more than 45 years was taken.
Merchandise stolen included seven laptops (mostly Dell brand), a large portable dog carrier, cages and supplies. Damages and losses are in the thousands of dollars.
