POLICE are warning householder to make sure their homes are secure following a sneak-in theft in Greenock.

A laptop computer and a purse were stolen from a property in Dunn Street, between 10am and 3pm yesterday.

A door had been left insecure at the house and the theft took place while the occupier was upstairs.

Any witnesses are urged to call police on 01475 492500.
