Two people were arrested early this morning in connection with the alleged theft of a laptop computer.

Latoyya Amarelle Lindsey, 23, 300 W. Main St., Horse Cave, was arrested at 12:40 a.m. and Brandon York Bowen, 26, 1432 Parkhurst Drive, at 12:54 a.m. today.

According to arrest reports from the Bowling Green Police Department, officers investigating a burglary in the 200 block of Scott Way learned that a laptop computer and some movies were stolen from a residence there and that the victim suspected Lindsey of being involved.

Police found blood on a broken window in the residence and elsewhere in the residence. Lindsey was in a car stopped in the 3100 block of Scottsville Road for a traffic violation.

Police saw a cut on Lindsey’s right hand and she admitted breaking into the residence and taking the property, the report said.

Lindsey told police that her boyfriend, Bowen, had the computer and that he knew it was stolen, according to a report. Bowen denied knowing that the computer was stolen when interviewed by police, the report said.

Lindsey was charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Bowen was charged with receiving stolen property (valued at less than $10,000).

Lindsey and Bowen each remain in Warren County Regional Jail without bond.
