Burglary curtails library's free internet access

Free public internet access has been curtailed at the Foxton Library after an overnight break-in which left a burglar licking wounds.
A window was smashed to gain access and three of the library's five public computers stolen.
Operations manager for Horowhenua Libraries Ema Jacob says she was called at 5.30am.
She says there's "lots of blood everywhere" from the burglar being cut by the broken glass, and there were spots of blood on some books which staff have been able to wipe off.
Jacob says it's horrible to think free internet access during library hours is not sufficient for somebody and the burglary is hugely disappointing. The library's computers were upgraded to new ones late last year.
The remaining two computers will be checked once the mess is cleaned up and efforts are being made to get a couple of old computers until the stolen ones can be replaced.
