Help For Jessamine Animal Shelter

A week after a second break in at a Jessamine County animal shelter, help is pouring in.

Employees at the Jessamine Save Center say vandals kicked down a door, and stole computers and banking information.

Since then, the center has received three computers, one from a local donor and two from the Humane Society of the United States. And the Jessamine Fiscal Court is considering funding an alarm system.

Volunteers are organizing a benefit for the Jessamine Save Center. It is scheduled for Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at The Pocket in downtown Nicholasville.
