EVESHAM — Authorities charged five people Thursday in connection with the shoplifting of a computer, police said Friday.
Steven C. Boyer, 23, of Mantua, was charged with shoplifting.  Sherry L. Beatty, 22, of Woodbury; Justin R. Long, 22, of Washington Township; Nina Pallante, 28, of Monroe Township; and William W. Stone, 48, of Washington Township, were all charged with conspiracy to commit shoplifting.
They are accused of the theft of an $800 display computer from Walmart on Route 70, and police are investigating if the group is responsible for several other recent thefts.
Boyer allegedly removed the computer from the display at 3:40 p.m. Thursday, and left the department store through a fire exit.
Through an investigation, authorities were able to locate the vehicle he was in on North Locust Avenue and took all five occupants into custody, according to police.
Beatty, Pallante and Long were released pending court action.
