He was arraigned in the Town of Watertown Court and released on bail pending further action by the Court.
The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation inWatertown was assisted by the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET ), the Wal-mart Asset Protection Division, and members of the LeRay Walmart Loss Prevention Department.
Multiple Thefts Result in Arrest of Adams Man
A month long investigation regarding the retail thefts inJefferson County has come to conclusion with the arrest of anAdams man.
Tuesday morning, Ronald J. Bailey, 38, of 12999 State Route 178 in Adams , was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Degree.
Bailey, employed at Fuccillo Chevrolet in Adams , knowingly received stolen property, including laptop and desk computers.
The transaction was completed with State Police members present at the dealership.
Bailey was arrested after receiving and paying for the stolen merchandise.
Local businesses that have been the target of these larcenies include but are not limited to:
- Wal-mart
- Sears
- JC Pennys
The investigation suggests that the thefts occurred outside the Jefferson County area, and that the stolen property was being "fenced" locally.
